Happy Halloween! (And NaNoWriMo Eve)

Happy Halloween! First and foremost, everybody have a fun, safe, and warm Halloween. Get all that candy and apple cider (is that a Halloween thing?).

Y'all, this is it. The time has come. NaNoWriMo 2019 starts tonight at midnight. I'm getting those jitters, that excitement is starting to take control. It's that build-up as you go up a roller coaster, you know the drop is coming and you're in for one hell of a ride. Once you reach that tipping point, there's no going back. You've started, you're here, and you've got to ride it until the end. Whatever twists, turns, and loops come your way are just part of the journey. You might get a little motion sick, you might have to close your eyes a few times, but it was all worth the while. And I can't wait to get on that ride.

Silly analogy, I know. I just am so excited! Writing has been a source of happiness and a huge stress reliever over the years, and honestly (not to get to sentimental) has saved my sanity and my life on multiple occasions. I am looking forward to how NaNoWriMo will help me grow as a writer and as a person. Maybe I won't be scared to say "I'm a writer" anymore :)

To all those participating in NaNoWriMo, I wish you the best of luck. No matter what happens in your writing process, you've got this. You will reach your goal, whatever that goal may be.
