The NaNoWriMo Chronicles: Day 5

Today was a little bit of a rough writing day. It was the first day I hit a slump with my story, but I feel like today was simply me writing build up to the part I really want to write. I'm hoping tomorrow will be an easier day, especially since I'm getting to the meat of my story. I just hope it'll take me to that 50,000 word goal. And if not, guess who's starting the editing process early in order to get there?

This morning was a lot of fun. It was a beautiful morning, nice and sunny. I didn't get up as early as I normally like to, which I think threw off my routine a little bit. But I was also distracted because my morning class had been cancelled and my husband and I had planned to go apple picking. There's an orchard out in Winchester, Virginia that I've been going to since I was a little kid, and I wanted to introduce it to Steven. It was a success. Lots of apples were picked, cider was bought, pie was eaten. It was a good morning. It also wore me out for the rest of the day. But it was totally worth it.

I'm hoping that tomorrow will be an even better writing day, despite having a test and a presentation in the same class. Always fun!

Happy writing y'all! I'll se you tomorrow!
